Command Chief Warrant officer Augustin C. Webster is a proud product of the Virgin Islands Public School System earning his diploma from Central High School. He earned his Bachelors’ degree in Education with a concentration in biology from Barber-Scotia College in Concord, North Carolina. While attending college, he joined the Marine Corps Reserve in January 1982 as a Unit Diary Clerk. In 1984 he entered active duty as an assistant MEPS Guidance Counselor, where he received a Meritorious Mass for his attention to detail and excellent administrative skills. In 1985 Chief Webster attended recruiter school in San Diego, California and returned to Charlotte, NC where he recruited for until 1988. After his recruiting tour he return to reserves as a Personnel Administrative Chief. As Admin Chief, he Mobilized 40 percent of the 4th Maintenance and Service Battalion, in support of the first Gulf war in 1990. The primary mission was to replenish all major Marine Corps Commands of the Fleet Marine Corps both CONUS AND OCONUS and to augment strike forces in Theater.
In 1991 Chief Webster returned home to join the VING. His first assignment was Battalion Retention NCO for the 104th Troop Command. In 1993 he returned to Active Duty as a recruiter, where he earned two Chief Fifty Awards in Recruiting excellence for achieving 100% of his mission for two years consecutively. Chief Webster was assigned to MEPS, PR where he served as Guidance Counselor for two years before joining the Warrant Officer Corps in 1999. As a warrant officer he served as SIDPERS Chief from 2000 to 2003. He returned to the 104th as the S1 and provided excellent support to the subordinate units resulting in 100% physical completed and 100% of MSM approved in FY 2004, he also assisted several units to deploy with 100% go at Mob stations. In 2005 he returned to SIDPERS by direct orders of the Adjutant General where he continued to provide administrative support to the entire VING.
